MedTech CoRE and BRNZ joint symposium

Date: Wednesday, 26th April to Thursday, 27th April 2017

The MedTech CoRE and Brain Research New Zealand are delighted to announce an exciting joint symposium, that will showcase each CoRE’s research and recent technological advances in brain research, as well as introducing research from overseas. The main purpose of this symposium is to encourage thinking about how new technologies may be able to enhance research into the ageing brain, and to offer opportunities for people to discuss new collaborations that might come through into the next round of applications later this year (see below).

We strongly encourage any interested members to attend this highly multidisciplinary across-CoRE workshop. It will provide a unique opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with leading researchers and professionals from an array of disciplines in BRNZ and MedTech.

“Brain & Technology: A Catalyst for Collaboration”
Venue: University of Auckland, Fale Pasifika
Date: 26-27 April
Cost: Free, registration is essential.

The symposium will discuss the use of technology in understanding and treating disorders of the brain, and feature presentations by an impressive line-up of international and national speakers.

Topics include:

  • Bionics
  • Drug and gene delivery

  • Assistive technologies
  • Virtual and augmented reality

The symposium will be a exciting mix of oral and poster presentations, case studies and demonstrations. A full program will follow.
