Researchers developing pioneering implant to slow the progress of osteoarthritis

A new implant is currently being developed in New Zealand that could revolutionise the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.

The team of researchers from AUT's Engineering Research Institute and the University of Auckland's implant will act as a load distributor and aim to slow down and prevent the progression of osteoarthritis.
