R&D Software Engineer


The role of the R&D Software Engineer will be the design and development of cutting-edge technology in the area of simulation, modelling and machine learning.
You'll need
  • Strong mathematical and problem solving skills
  • Experience in physical simulation and modelling techniques
  • Experience with software development environments such as Visual Studio or Xcode
  • Experience with the software development life cycle
  • Good verbal and written communication

    Research Engineer at Formus Labs


    Drive R&D in medical image processing with state-of-the-art machine-learning methods on problems such as image segmentation and registration.
    Plan and run clinical studies validating our technology and present the results in academic journals and conferences.
    Operate and improve our current AI and image processing stack and work with software engineering to translate your research into production systems.
    Attend product/project meetings to provide input and advice from a technical perspective.


  • A Master or higher degree related to medical image analysis and machine-learning
  • Strong mathematical and problem solving skills
  • Fluent in Python, Tensorflow or Kera, SciPy/NumPy, and familiar with ITK, VTK, SciKit-Learn or other scientific computing libraries
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and can tailor complex information for consumption by various stakeholders
