New Zealand’s National MedTech Resource

The CMDT and MedTech CoRE form New Zealand’s national industry research network.

The Consortium for Medical Device Technologies (CMDT) is a single point of contact for NZ’s capability and resources in MedTech.

The MedTech Centre of Research Excellence is New Zealand’s translational research platform for medical technologies. We strengthen the connectivity between science, clinical translation and commercialisation for sustainable growth and building scale.

We achieve this with a national industry-research network led by a partnership between Auckland University of Technology, Callaghan Innovation, the Universities of Auckland, Canterbury and Otago, and Victoria University of Wellington.

INNOVATIVE RESEARCH

A one-stop portal that provides easy access to research providers across all of Aotearoa-New Zealand.

NATIONAL COLLABORATION

Facilitating partnerships and collaborations with researchers, clinicians, companies and government organisations.

WORLDWIDE NETWORK

Connecting world-class researchers and start-up companies to our wide international network.

STRATEGIC INITIATIVES

Develop and implement strategic initiatives to strengthen and connect the MedTech innovation ecosystem.
