MedTech CoRE and CMDT working together
The Consortium for Medical Device Technologies (CMDT) is a national industry-research network formed to provide a single point of contact to NZ's capability and resources in medtech. This network is a partnership between Auckland University of Technology, Callaghan Innovation, the Universities of Auckland, Canterbury and Otago, and Victoria University of Wellington.
In 2014 the CMDT partners successfully applied to TEC for funding to establish the MedTech Centre of Research Excellence (MedTech CoRE), hosted by the University of Auckland but with nodes across the partner organisations. The MedTech CoRE is a translational research entity focused on applications of fundamental research for economic growth and healthcare outcomes.
The MedTech CoRE and CMDT work closely together to support NZ's MedTech sector.
